Stefano Aimone is a senior researcher at IRES Piemonte since 1992. He graduated in agricultural sciences.

His main area of expertise is the socio-economic analysis of rural areas and agri-food systems, aimed at supporting regional policies for rural development in their different steps (planning, implementation, evaluation). Other fields of interest include policies for mountain areas and strategic planning. He currently manages the evaluation team of Piedmont Rural Develoment Program 2014-2020. He also operate as IRES consultant member in the Technical board for regional programming and in the Technical board for Internal Areas of Regione Piemonte.
